What is BB Cream!?

WHAT IS BB CREAM USED FOR?

With so many products designed to be the base for your makeup (BB Cream, CC Cream, Tinted Moisturizer, Foundation), it can get confusing!  And a lot of people use these terms without knowing the actual meaning.  But we are here to help and answer a very common question:  What is BB Cream?

The “BB” in BB Cream stands for Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm.  We are not sure where the name comes from because bb cream is not intended to specifically treat blemishes like a concealer.  Rather, bb creams are more like a hybrid of light coverage foundation, moisturizer, and usually contain SPF.  They are great for days in which you are limited on time to get ready or do not want to wear a full face of makeup.  BB Creams truly give that “everyday makeup” look.  Also, some people with dry skin swear that bb creams work better than primers for priming and moisturizing your skin as a base before applying foundation.

BB CREAM – HOW TO APPLY

  3. Squeeze a pea-sized drop of BB Cream from the bottle and using a foundation brush, make little swipes all over your face.
  4. Blend out the bb cream with clean and dry fingertips.
  5. Apply more as needed.
  6. If your skin type is oily, set with powder using a brush.
